The little bit I've looked into Volume Licensing so far has already made my head hurt. OEM and Retail (you are certainly correct, for self built you need Retail) don't allow for modification of the installation files in any way.Ĭhris (Microsoft) - can you clarify this point? Slipstreaming Windows Updates is considered a modification of the media, so is only allowed with VL, right? I'm not 100% sure about this, because it is just Updates from MS. ![]() ![]() It's your Windows license that's the issue.
